Diagnosed with P.C. in April 2005, studied like heck for the next 2 months before settling on High Dose Rate Temporary Seed Implants and received treatment in June 2005 and received 98% chance of non recurrence for 10 years. In April of 2005, I went for my normal PSA test. I was shocked to find out that my PSA was 7.23. My urologist scheduled a Biopsy and it was confirmed. My Gleason score was 3/4. My wife and I studied and prayed for the next two months and spoke with everyone we could about this cancer. We settled on a treatment of High Dose Rate Temporary Seed implant give at the Gamma West Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Doctors there were exceptional and Dr. Hayes oversaw my complete treatment. I had my first treatment on June 15 and had (2) more on June 16th. I waited a week and had the same treatments on June 22 and 23. I went home and within a week I was almost back to normal. I played competitive racquetball after (2) weeks. As of this date 8/9/2005, I have absolutely no urinary problems and our sex life is back to normal or better. Best of health to you all.

I want the world to know how happy I am with Gamma West and the doctors Leland Rogers and John Hayes. I went into them with two Angio Sarcoma tumors about the size of a nickle, half inch apart on my left chest. They looked like frog eyes. After one week of radiation and heat treatment the cancer tumors had started to shrink. They were about one third the size smaller. After two weeks of treatment I saw an amazing difference. They were half dried up. With the compassion of Dr. Rogers and Dr. Hayes I am almost well. The staff that works with them are wonderful, kind and thoughtful and have done all they could to make me comfortable and to not be afraid of the treatment. To me they are all like angels.

Brachytherapy is the only way to go. For me it was effective and reasonably uncomfortable. It went as was explained with no surprises. I feel this is the only way to treat the cancer I had.
I was impressed with the ease with which this treatment was done. The knowledge and skill were very evident. It cleared up my cancer better than I expected. The discomfort was minor. I highly recommend this form of treatment.
