Cancer requires comprehensive, compassionate care. That’s why Gamma West Cancer Services offers a variety of radiation therapy cancer treatments to patients at Ogden Regional Medical Center. With the latest technology available for chemotherapy, brachytherapy, and cancer surgery, Gamma West Cancer Services aims to offer patients as many options as possible. At our Ogden Regional Medical Center location, we can provide effective and powerful radiation therapy treatment for a variety of cancers, including breast, prostate, cervical, oral, and lung.

With stereotactic radiosurgery service from Dr. Fisher, the cancerous tissue of a tumor is irradiated without causing damage to the surrounding healthy tissue. It is a common form of treatment for metastasized cancers that developed from other cancer types. This highly technical form of treatment is available as a less harmful solution for brain and spinal cancers from Dr. Fisher in Ogden.

In addition to stereotatic radiosurgery, Dr. Fisher specializes in many other types of Ogden radiation therapy, including chemotherapy, intensity modulated radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and more. As a radiation oncologist at Ogden Regional Medical Center with Gamma West Cancer Services, Dr. Fisher serves on the Young Physicians’ Committee to the Board of Chancellors for the American College of Radiation Oncology. He also assists ASTRO, the American Society of Radiation Oncology, with the International Committee’s African workforce. Dr. Fisher founded a nonprofit called Radiating Hope that brings radiation equipment and training to developing countries. As the president of Radiating Hope and as a dedicated humanitarian, Dr. Fisher hopes to bring change to thousands of lives. Dr. Fisher was considered as a finalist for the Humanitarian Award with the American Society of Radiation Oncology. He is also an avid adventurer and serves as a volunteer for the Weber County Search and Rescue team. Brandon is also a husband and a father to three wonderful children.

Dr. Hansen can provide High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy to patients at Ogden Regional Medical Center, reducing return visits for treatment compared to Low Dose Rate (LDR) brachytherapy. He has taught other physicians across the USA and Canada about High Dose Rate brachytherapy as an effective and modern form of radiation therapy for prostate cancer, breast cancer, and other forms of cancer in Ogden and Salt Lake City.

Dr. Hansen studied medicine and earned his degree from Creighton University in 1995 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 1992. He went on to train in Radiation Oncology at the University of Arizona until 2000, when he moved back to his home town of Salt Lake City to join Gamma West Services. Dr. Hansen primarily assists patients with cervix, endometrial, breast, and prostate cancer. As a board certified Radiation Oncologist from the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Hansen aims to continue fighting cancer and saving lives.
